Cookbook Club – Indian for Everyone

This month the group tried out recipe’s from Indian for Everyone by Anupy Singla. Feelings about this book were mixed. While the food itself was mostly positive the book is a bit intense for those unfamiliar with Indian cooking (a lot of spice work). Some took this as an opportunity to try completely new things and headed over to the local Indian grocery store, but others were more tentative. Overall, if you’re looking to really give something new a try this book produced some great dishes, but be prepared for a little bit more of an adventure.

Dishes Tried:

Angor Chaat (Tangy Grape Salad)

Chana Dal with Ghiya (Split Gram Lentils with Winter Melon)
